Candle making, a lost skill and art form is being resurrected. How do candles burn? Can a candle really burn underwater? Make a few of your own and learn all about this awesome scientific art form.
My First Robot: Part 2, 9:00 AM to Noon
A class designed especially for younger robot engineers entering grade one or two! Come create and program a working robot. Enjoy a team setting to design, build, and operate robots using the WeDo Robotics™ kits from LEGO© Education. Different robots will be built in each session. No prior experience in robotics or LEGOs is needed.
4-6th Grade Camps:
Code Masters: Part 2 December 30th, 9:00 AM to Noon
Learn the basics of computer programming by learning about binary code and the programming language Ruby through both unplugged and computer-based activities. No prior code writing experience is required.
Ecosystems: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM
Ever wondered how we can all co-exist in this big world? By building your own self-sustaining mini-eco system you will experience and learn how plants, animals & humans all effect the fragile balance of life as we know it.
7-8th Grade Camps:
Winter Survival: 9am-3:30pm

You’ve seen it on the news or reality TV. People are out in winter weather and something goes awry. Would you know what to do? Here in the Midwest, we all travel in poor winter conditions at one time or another. Are you prepared? Come to this camp to prep yourself to survive the Midwest winter! This camp will be held outside much of the time. Please dress appropriately. Become your own survivor man or woman as you learn skills needed to make a fire, build a shelter, get help and stay alive.
